COHEMI is one of the collaborators in this Congress. There will be 6 workshops on: 1) Neurocysticercosis and epilepsy in endemic countries and migrants, 2) Strongyloidiasis in endemic countries and Europe, 3. Chagas Diseases (May, 31st), 4. policies concerning Tuberculosis and migration, 5. socio-anthropological aspects of neglected diseases and 6) Tuberculosis and migration concerning epidemiology and care (June, 1st).

COHEMI International Symposium on Latin American Migrant Health-ISLAMH Lima (Peru),12-13- April 2013

The COHEMI Symposium is aimed to present to the Scientific Latin-American Community and Health authorities achievements of the COHEMI Project and propitiate discussion with worldwide experts regarding Migrants health and the impact on the population involved and Health systems.

The program includes a two day meeting divided in sessions (according to COHEMI project Work Packages), and two workshops to be held in parallel with the symposium, on the topics Social determinants and Tuberculosis.

The Symposium is organized by UPCH in collaboration with FUNSAD, CEADES, TEKO as COHEMI partners and Peruvian Society of Internal Medicine and Peruvian Society of Infectious Diseases, sponsored by European Commission (7th Framework Programme-FP7), PAHO/WHO, Ministry of Health of Peru, Colegio Medico Del Peru and Tropical Medicine Institute “Daniel A. Carrión (UNMSM).

4th Conference on Migrants and Ethnic minority Health in Europe.

The main target of the three-day meeting is to compare scientific results and foster best practices to counteract possible disadvantages of migrants and foreign citizens as to their health conditions and access to health services.

The Conference will be organised in sessions, in order to combine more traditional, well established themes with innovative topics.
